One of my neighbors wanted me to warn everyone about the danger of great horned owls to small pets in Normal Station. They are predatory night birds which she said she has heard from inside her home. She heard an owl’s call on a recent night followed by what sounded like a small dog barking as if it was being attacked. This is what led her to conclude that the owls may be a danger to small animals like small dogs and cats.

So please, if you have small pets, be aware of this danger.
