First Friday Emails

NSNA
Have something to sell? Don’t know what to do with give-away items? Have an event coming up? Looking for a particular item? Want some yardwork, housework, or baby sitting done?
The Normal Station Neighborhood Association (NSNA) has a solution! The new First Friday E-mail is a new way to communicate with NSNA neighbors about needed items, unused items, free items, or even a lost or found pet! And it’s absolutely FREE!
Before the last day of the month, NSNA members are encouraged to send ads and notices to FirstFriday@normalstation.org. We will compile all posts into a master list. On the first Friday of each month we will email the master list to our Normal Station neighbors.
IDEAS for posting:
• Items for sale
• Items for FREE
• Local homes for sale by owner
• Yard sales
• Pets for sale
• Lost or found pets
• Needed items
• Services needed (i.e. leaf raking, gardening, home improvement)
• Neighborhood or local business events
GUIDELINES for posts:
• Must include a contact name and phone number or e-mail address
• Must be family friendly
• Must be of reasonable length
• Homes for sale must be listed as “For Sale By Owner”
• The First Friday E-mail administrator reserves the right to refuse to publish anything that could be considered offensive
EXAMPLES of posts:
For Sale: patio set including four swivel chairs and glass top table. No umbrella included. Pictures available upon request. Please contact Jon Doe at 555-5555 or jondoe@xyz.com.
Looking for: gently used bunk beds. Please contact Jane Doe at 555-5555.
Home for sale by owner: 5555 Fake Street, 3 bedrooms, 2 bath. Please contact May Doe at 555-5555 before we list it with an agent.
Remember, posts must be emailed to FirstFriday@normalstation.org by the last day of each month to be included in the First Friday E-mail! Any questions about First Friday can also be directed to the e-mail address.
NSNA wants to connect neighbors withneighbors. Help us accomplish this by sending in your posts!
The first “First Friday E-mail” will be sent out May 1, 2009.
